Centro de Educacion Tecnica Humanistica Agropecuaria de Adultos (CETHA) was founded in 1978 to offer a range of training courses to literate peasants so that they could repeat the courses for their communities. In 1989 the Centre began a distance education programme aimed at students who had not completed secondary school. The educational levels of programmes offered are: Primary (for adults), Secondary (for adults) - Bachiller en Humanidades, Secondary Technical - Bachiller (skilled worker), Further education - Tecnico (ocupacional o agropecuario) and Community education. Subjects taught include agriculture; veterinary science; humanities; Bolivian literature; mathematical sciences; applied biology; chemistry; physics; geography; social sciences. CETHA is a member of the Facilitadores de Educacion Rural Integral de Adultos (FERIA). |
